I enjoyed Marty’s humor and kind smile on many occasions enjoying the outdoors.
Alligator hunt in Southtexas was especially fun with memorable moments.
Dove Hunts at the Ford Ranch with alot of great guys enjoying Matt Martinez’s cooking
And the many wild stories of past hunts.

In particular Marty asked me to arrange an interview between him and my brother in law 
Rick Clunn ( who wasn’t wild about giving interviews with the press) for the Wildlife Report. It went smoothly and fun was had by both…
 Marty would be excited that Rick is receiving a “Lifetime Achievement Award” from BASS at this years Classic in Tulsa later this month for 50 years of fishing professionally.

We all know that no one lives forever. But, I for one, wish  Marty could have hung around a little longer. Great father, Great Sportsman and a Great Friend. Rest in peace my friend. I hope to join you and Martinez one day on the “other side”.

Decades ago I subscribed to Marty's stories on cassettes. What a treat. I believe we got one a week by mail. 
I was fortunate to get to visit with many times even after he moved to Laredo.

Nature lost a true friend upon Marty’s passing but Heaven gained a Hero!
We hunted doves to alligators always enjoying his stories and pranks.

One of The Greatest Outdoorsman ever! Still have The Old Field and Streamer's tapes from his many years of recording. Taught me the details of Turkey Hunting and was among the Best. The Good Lord better watch out for Marty and Matt Martinez Jr Up There because they might cause some trouble! It was always an Honor to Hunt and be around Him! God Bless!


The Ole Field and Streamer will forever be missed. A great friend and hunting buddy! God Bless Marty and my condolences to the Malin Family!
