Margaret was born in Austin, Texas the only daughter of Orville and Fannie Mae Klingemann. She was raised in the Austin/Oak Hill area and spent summers in Driftwood, Texas with family. Much to her mother’s chagrin, she was a tomboy at heart loving all sports. She loved playing softball growing up and her and Royce spent many hours enjoying the Texas Longhorn Baseball team, especially watching their son Burt when he played. They were so captivated by the game they even kept a book that logged every innings plays.
She loved Jesus above everything else, even at the cost to herself personally, she never strayed from her beliefs. She was always kind and friendly to others, helping those in need, putting others first and herself last.
I owe many thanks and gratitude to the loving and caring staff at The Legacy at Oak Hill for caring for her up until her last days as she battled with dementia. She was a spit fire to the end, believe me, as we once watched her wrestling with one of her favorite aides, Victoria, trying to dress a 90 lb. woman that was wiggling and squirming like a slippery toddler.
In her last days of unresponsiveness, we were blessed by God when she finally opened her eyes and gave us a lopsided grin before dozing off again. I will forever be grateful for that small moment in time, as I know those others in the room were as well.
She is finally where she longed to be, in the presence of Jesus and back in the arms of her “Baby Doll” Royce.
Her first marriage to Don King gave her daughters Janette Folsom and Dana Miller. Her second marriage to Royce Burrows, whom she lovingly referred to as her “Baby Doll”, welcomed in his children Belinda Lasseter (Mitch), Burt Burrows (Robin) and Stacy Burrows (Penny). She is also survived by her 102 year old Aunt Evelyn Plowman, grandchildren Bailey Folsom (McKenzie), Dalton King, Robert Miller, Brooke Lasseter Klickman (David), Josh Lasseter (Mollee), Kelsey Burrows, Amber Jeffres, Cruz Burrows, Evan Burrows, Cody Miller (Emily) and Kelli Strange (Cullen) and by her brothers Raymond Klingemann (Patsy) and Henry Klingemann (Bee), as well as great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, loving lifetime friends and 2 bonus grands.
She is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Fannie Mae Klingemann, her brother Clarence Klingemann and her husband Royce Burrows.
Psalm 23; 1-6
He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff comfort me.
