Marcia passed away suddenly March 8, 2010 at her home in Austin, Texas. She was born December 20, 1949 to Thomas and Jacqueline McNall in Albion, NY. As a child she was known as a creative, free sprit always taking the time to smell the roses. Her family owned McNall’s Furniture Store in Spencerport, N.Y. Marcia’s love for furniture and interior design began in the family store, and culminated in a 40 year passion working in the interior design industry. Marcia graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Marcia had a love of music; she was an accomplished pianist and singer. Marcia always had a calm demeanor; it was visible in her expressive eyes. She was a gentle soul. Much like her father, Marcia was honest and sincere. She always was a good judge of character in others. Marcia was a private person who kept things close to her heart. Marcia enjoyed old movies and could spend hours watching them. She loved her dog Mickey and cat Gizmo.
She is survived by her husband Charlie Murphy of Austin and his family, Donna MacDougal of Waterloo N.Y. and Charlie’s mother and step-father Barbara and John Crooks of Geneva, N.Y. Marcia’s children surviving are daughter Karin, son Brian, and their father Ken Bash, all of Los Angeles, California. Also surviving her are her brothers Tom McNall, John McNall and wife Sandra, all of Rochester, NY, and her sister Tracy and husband Mark Picone of Austin, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; including J.J., Maddie, and Alannah Picone of Austin, TX.
