On January 30, 2005 our heavenly Father called Lupe Sifuentes home. She made all she met feel like they were family. Lupe had 84 wonderful years to do Gods work. She raised five children of her own, along with helping to raise numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of numerous organizations including the San Jose Guadalupanos and was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She also served as a Team Mother for the Travis High School football team. Lupe is survived by her five children; Pilar Galvan and husband Julio, Margaret Garcia and husband Joe (bnz), Lupita Abeita, Joe Sifuentes and wife Edna, and Manuel Sifuentes Jr. and wife Theresa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; sister, Janie Sanchez and husband David; and numerous nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joseph Garcia, David Manuel Galvan, Ernest Abeita, Jr., Manuel Sifuentes III, James Abeita, and Joe Nicholas Sifuentes. Honorary pallbearers are David Sanchez, Joe Garcia, Ernest Abeita, Sr., and Alexander Jonathan (A.J.) Sifuentes.
