Lucille Minnie Stanley, age 80, of Austin, passed away Friday, October 21, 2005. She was the daughter of George Suess and Ida Stuber Suess, born July 5, 1925 in New Ulm, Minnesota. Lucille and her husband John were the owners of J & L Egg Farm on Fitzhugh Road in Austin. They supplied eggs to neighbors and many businesses in and around the Austin area for many years. She was a member and officer in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post #4443. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Stanley; brothers, George, Artie, and Alfred Suess. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Zies, of Seguin, Deborah Penn and husband Mike, of Austin, Tommie Jean Yanik and husband Ron, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Sandra Florhaug, of Austin; son, John Stanley and wife Kaeti, of Austin; grandchildren, DouglasYanik, Leslie Williams, Melinda Daise, Michelle Penn, Lena Zies, Christie Yantis, Peder Florhaug, John and Rebecca Stanley; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcella Laux, Ordella Korte, and Loretta Lash. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM on Monday, October 24 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25 at Bethany Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Oliver Cemetery, Hwy. 290 West @ Oliver Rd., Austin. Honoring Lucille as pallbearers are Douglas Yanik, Peder Florhaug, John Stanley, Michael Yantis, Jeremy Daise, Michael Williams, Jim Ermis, Terry Ermis, and Antonio Hernandez Palomino.
