Logan Taylor Haycraft, Paramedic NREMT-P, Texas LP, age 26 of Austin passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from complications due to seizures. He was born on August 29, 1987 to Tom and Jane Haycraft in Galveston, Texas. Logan attended James Bowie High School and Austin Community College. He enjoyed cycling, the Austin music scene, family, reading and hockey.
He is preceded in death by Logan Haycraft Jr. and Bill Terril Sr, and his dogs, Sheila and Gizmo.
Logan is survived by his dog Lola, mother, Jane Haycraft; father, Tom Haycraft and wife Nancy; brother, Specialist Joshua Haycraft assigned to 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood; uncles, Bill and Pat Terrill, Chris and Cynthia Haycraft; aunts, Julia and Ken Langston, and Janet Terrill; nephew and niece Luke and Grace Langston.
Raised by parents who were nurses, it was natural for Logan to take the path toward community service and an education and licensure as a Paramedic. Logan had a caring and thoughtful nature, was well-read and developed strong friendships in all activities he participated in.
Celebration of Life to honor Logan will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Per Logan's wishes, Wake to follow at Strange Brew, 5326 Manchaca Road, Austin, Texas 78745.
