Linda "Jeannette" Dickey Richardson

Jeannette was born December 31, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Vivian and Bill Dickey. She married the love of her life, James, on her birthday, 1948. They had 61 “wonderful” years of marriage before he passed away in 2009.

She is survived by her only daughter, Linda and her husband Donnie Carter; two grandsons, Donnie Jr. and wife Amanda, Ronnie and wife Christina. Three great Grandsons, Cody, Nicholas and Kristopher and one great, great- granddaughter, Clarissa.

Jeannette retired from the Department of Public Safety after 22 years of service. Jeannette was a member of Crestview Methodist Church. She loved playing dominoes (42) with the church group.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gracy Woods I Nursing and Rehab for the love and care they showed her. She was a residence since February. Thank you also to the Heart to Heart Hospice. Special thank you to Heath, Kate and Kevin.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Cook-Walden Funeral home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas, followed by the funeral services at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park, Austin, Texas.
