LeRoy was born in Portland, Oregon to Charles and Daisy Zachman. He served our country honorably and was an Army combat veteran in the Korean War during 1951-1952. He served as a cook and baker with the 75th Infantry Division.
In 1951, just prior to his deployment to Korea, he married Virginia Kassab. They were married for 66 years.
They started their family in San Francisco, California. In 1964 the family moved to Carmichael, CA. In October of 2017, they moved to Bastrop, TX, to live with their daughter and son-in-law.
LeRoy was loved by all. He loved the Lord passionately. He modeled his love for God through giving to and helping others. Despite only having an 8th grade education, LeRoy was a great provider to his family. At times he worked 3 jobs, but he always made time for his family and the Lord.
LeRoy is survived and dearly loved by his children Penni, April, Pamela and Scott. He was also dearly loved by his 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. They brought him much joy and happiness.
