LeeAnn is survived by her 2 loving children Esperanza and Nathan Velasquez; her 2 sisters and brothers-in-law Aqurila and David Arroyo, and Melodia and John Villalpando. She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews: Liliana, Bella, John Elisha, and DJ; as well as countless relatives and friends.
LeeAnn was born and raised in Austin, TX. After graduating high school in 1997 she moved to Columbus to attend Texas Bible Institute where she graduated in Biblical Studies. Like her parents, she had a big heart for people and always chose to see the good in everyone. She was a fighter, protector, and defender, but still managed to wear her heart on her sleeve. She was an amazing saleswoman. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit and succeeded at everything she put her mind to, be it anything from Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, or even jewelry like Premier and Paparazzi. She enjoyed being artistic and would always express herself through painting, crocheting, and sewing. This was also apparent in her passion for photography and was always taking photos ever since her high school days. She was a great cook. Whether it was turkey, tamales, menudo, or even just her charro beans, everyone always looked forward to her home cooked or holiday meals. Her favorite pastime was cuddling with her children and she loved spoiling her nieces and nephews with sugar and gifts. She was “The Cool Tia.” Everywhere she went she would light up the room with her smile and had a way of connecting with others no matter where she was. LeeAnn was playful and adventurous. Despite any hardships, LeeAnn could always find beauty in life and lived it to the fullest. She will be missed tremendously.
