John, Lori, Lynn, and Debbie.    Karen called me up 5/8/09 to let me know about Ben Klepzig's passing. We talked for awhile. Two days after Ben's funeral I get a call that she passed on to her eternal reward. May Karen's positive influence inspire us to give of our best to the Master.    She was a dear friend to many, generous and sweet.  I  will personally miss Karen very much, but "our loss is heaven's gain."



John and family, Our hearts are sadden by your loss, but realize she's at peace now and it's heaven's gain. This is what we're all living for. I have fond memories of times when we were growing up together, as we spent a lot of time with the Amos'. (To us, it was always Uncle Paul and Aunt Freda, and still is when we speak of them.)  I'll always remember Karen's laughter and the fun we had, when as kids, we played meeting. Karen would get so tickled at our 'antics'.  Our hearts go out to you and the family as you suffer through this loss.  Please remember you are in our thoughts and prayers.  Mother and Dad says they are thinking of you and sends their love.  We love all of you!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.  I knew Karen in our teen years.  We rode the school bus together for six years and had lots of things to share on those rides to and from school.  I remember her as a sincere and loyal friend.  As I read other guest book entries, I can see Karen was loved by many for those same traits.  Though our paths went in separate ways after graduation, there are still fond memories, and it is tough to lose a classmate.  Just know that I share in your sorrow.

Just heard of Karen's finish today, while at calling hours for Tom Leffel, a mutual friend, about our age.  Karen and I are the same age and are second cousins who grew up just 2 1/2 miles apart.  We did many things together as children and I have many happy memories of her friendship.  Then she married and later moved to TX and I entered the ministry and went to New Endland and our paths seldom crossed.  My heart shares the sorrow of the family in their loss.



John and family,  Was so surprised to see Karen's lovely picture in the Dallas Obituaries. Have missed you all and  so sorry another family had to fight renal cell cancer. We just lost my son's wife to this foe in February. Know Karen put up the good fight. Understand what you've been through. My thoughts, prayers and tears are with you.

I haven't seen her in a long time, but I have a lot of wonderful memories of her. I will miss Aunt Karen very much.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to see her and tell her how much I love her before she passed.  She has always been special to me and I enjoyed every minute that I had the priviledge of spending in her presence.  She was always so sweet and caring and the love that she showed is something that I will never forget.  I'm thankful for all the wonderful memories that she is a part of and thankful that she could be surrounded by so many, both friends and family, who reflected the love in her life.  My heart goes out to all those saddened by her passing for my heart is crying as well because I have lost a great friend and aunt.  I'm especially thinking of Uncle John and all my cousins in this very difficult time.  Lori, Debbie, and Lynn; you and your families are deepest in my thoughts as you struggle through this experience.  I wish that I could be there to give all of you very big hugs.

Karen's smile and sweet spirit has spoken volumes through the years.  Also, John and Karen's faithfulness getting out to the gospel meetings when she was not well... that tells us where her desire was-- on the heavenly kingdom.  She is now enjoying that realm, as Jesus promised the man on the cross with him, "today thou shalt be with me in paradise."  It is hard to "let go" of loved ones, but it will be "better" for them on the other side.  Our love and sympathy to Karen's family.

Mom,    I can't begin to say how much I am going to miss you.  You earned the World's Best Mother-In-Law award and I was so lucky to know and love you. Karen was a dear, sweet lady who loved her faith, her family and her friend - and I never once heard her complain of her health - she'll be missed greatly, but thankful for the One who gives purpose to our lives.



Bob, I was very sorry to hear about your Mother-in-Law.  I pray that your family will be comforted during this time.



Gary and I are so grateful for the wonderful memories of a special friendship we shared with Karen and John and their girls when we lived in Plano, TX.  We are glad for the last visit we had with you and Karen, John, and will treasure it with all the other fond memories and thoughts we have.  Please know our hearts will be with you during these days, with our prayers, that God will comfort you.  We love you all!



Gloria and I have wonderful memories of our time with Karen and the Shockley family here in Plano. We appreciate all that John and Karen did for us and the times spent together. We especially loved the fellowship meeting in their home. We will miss Karen  and wish to express our sincere sympathy.
