Joyce Aileen Boling Bryant, 80, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2013 wrapped in the arms of her husband of 62 years, Charles Edward Bryant. She has gone to her heavenly home to be with her parents F.D. “Doc” and Oressa Boling, and her brother, Dan Boling.
Joyce, also known as “Mom-moms” by her grandchildren, was born on October 2, 1932 in Austin, Texas. She attended Austin High School and graduated in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart at the age of seventeen on June 16, 1950. After raising her three children, Joyce went on to become a teaching assistant, and retired after 22 years from the Austin Independent School District. She was an avid fan of her children and grandchildren’s sporting events. From basketball to baseball to football to cheerleading and wrestling, she never miss a big game.
She is survived by her children, Regina Bryant McNeal, Brad Bryant and Blake Bryant; her six grandchildren, Eric Clakley and wife, Rachel, Megan McNeal Hunter and husband, Ron, Morgan McNeal , Charles Bryant, Brandon Bryant and Lauren Bryant; her three great-grandsons, Jason Hunter, Seth Hunter and “Little Blake” Clakey. Joyce is also survived by her brother, Darrell Boling and his wife, Rose, her sister-in-law, Elaine Boling and her three nieces.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Thursday, the 14th of March 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at half past two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 15th of March, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
Her family will be celebrating her life with a light meal following the funeral at Crestview Baptist Church, 7600 Woodrow, Austin, Texas.
