Bernard you will be missed! We had some good memories at the old church...plenty of laughs...lots of prayers...You were a son to me.....Many blessings to lovely Janaya and the Davis family. May God surround each of your days with his miracles of love...SANG BERNARD!!! 

Bernard... I am so sad that you are no longer on this earth. But I know you wouldn't come back even if you were asked. You truly fought a good fight with no complaints. I will miss you very much. You were my friend, someone that would give great advice and someone that was supportive. I wish I would have seen you one more time before going on to be with your heavenly father, but I know I will see you again one day. Gone to soon I say.
I will keep the memories of our conversations and you always humming or singing on the phone. I bet you're up in heaven singing nonstop.
My prayers are with your baby girl, Janaya and the rest of the family. 

I grew up in the house across the street from Bernard's grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Davis, and I would babysit Bernard sometimes when he was a little boy.  He was so funny and had the cutest little smile!  I enjoyed seeing him from time to time as he grew up into a wonderful young man.  We would wave hello and have small talk or I would see him mowing his grandparents lawn or washing their cars.  He was one of the nicest people I've ever met and I will never forget him.  Rest in peace, Bernard.    

Life's too short....
The world has lost a truly great man, but the Heavens gained a blessed angel, he was my brother! Blood couldn't have made us any closer. We connected so quickly and it was a true genuine family love. He was there for me during some really dark times and he was one of the main reasons I joined TRC. He brought this wonderful church home into my life and I will forever be grateful for that. He was one of the few ppl that made me feel like I'm not alone here in Houston.  He understood how lonely I felt having any of my family here and he made it a goal to remind me that I do have family in him. I hated it when he moved to San Antonio because he was so far away, but I knew how happy he was to be there for his little girl all the time. And that he was a short drive and a quick phone call away.   I'm grateful that God allowed this great person to come into my life and allowed me to love him unconditionally like a true brother and him to love me like a true sister in such a short time. It's hard to grasp the peace I should feel with him gone, knowing that he's in heaven rejoicing. I just pray that God gives all the peace that's needed to his family especially his mother, who had to bury her only child and his daughter who lost her father at such a young age. I will forever miss him 

From our days at Nazarene to dropping you off at Sam Houston, you have always been the life of the party. You keep people smiling and never thought twice about sharing your light. Silliness on EVERY dance floor (mine and Charli's Sweet 16, ZRBC Winter Ball and my wedding) you took every opportunity to share your carefree spirit. Our babies are days apart and I pray they get to share just as many moments together that you, Charli and I shared, if not more. You will be missed but know that you were everyone's little brother... I can't step foot in Bowie, Zion Rest or sing ANY Kirk Franklin song without a grand memory of you. We love you and we will see each other again, on God's timing. Enjoy that milk and honey... WOW! What a great Man of God indeed...we sang in the tenor section together at TRC..this is where friends began..talk about fun and funnier lol...Bernard laughed at just about everything...always kept a smile on his face and shared words of encouragement...most memorable moments were... Bernard sat in front of me at church and I'd always have to ask him to lean to the side because his head was interrupting my photos on the monitor screen...the funny smile and look on his face caused me to tap his shoulder every Wednesday and Sunday just to see it..
He's missed and will be loved always..take your peaceful rest Bernard because you've Won...Victory really does belong to Jesus

B!!! Man, look! My favorite memory, hands down, will forever be standing behind you singing, “This Means War”! Cutting up with the tenors during rehearsal, selfies after sound check on Sunday mornings...so many fun times had while serving. I’m so grateful I got the change to get to know you, I love you and I miss you! 

To my brother, you fought a great fight and you my brother won the victory! I would have never known we would have become so close but I couldn’t imagine my life without Bsssssneeee in it! The assurance that I have is that you are now resting with the one you sang and ministered about! We will keep your memory alive and make sure MaMa Sheila and Janaya are good. We love you B! Coming to visit you blessed me so much. Never did you complain of pain or speak of any worry. You had the faith we speak about as believers. You gave glory and hope to us through your journey. The victory does belong to Jesus, and now you have your eternal rest. Thank you for such a beautiful testimony, and allowing me to witness your unwavering faithfulness!

Jesse Bernard Davis!!! Man there's so many memories I could share... I heard about you before I even got to know who you were.  Our first interaction: It was move-in day at SHSU and I had just said goodbye to my parents as they left me to unpack at Smith & Kirkley dormitory. I was in the middle of putting away boxes when there was a loud knock on my door. I open the door to find a couple of guys (Bernard & his LBs) smiling at me and handing me a flyer for a welcome party that the Sigmas were hosting. I politely took it and was getting ready to close the door when Bernard stuck his foot in the door and introduced himself and asked me for my name (such a charmer lol). I told him in a sarcastic voice, "new freshman girl".  The next day I saw my freshman orientation leader, N'Kayla and we were talking in the bookstore when I bumped into Bernard again. I left him to talking to N'Kayla while I purchased my books. When I got outside, N'Kayla was like, "I know someone who likes you"! I was like really, who? She said my frat brother Bernard. Well that's how Bernard entered my life, became my first college boyfriend/love. I will always cherish the good times. Now you're free of pain and suffering; Enjoy the Kingdom Bernard.

Bernard and I didn't have a lot of memories but he was my little cousin and i loved him dearly. His smile was infectious and his heart was huge. The world will be a different place without him but i know that he is in the arms of our lord and Savior Jesus Christ resting.  I love you Bernard and I will miss you!  

My nephew arrived at the most inconvenient moment, lol.  I was preparing to graduate from H.S.  - I get the call that my sister is preparing to have her baby.  All I could think was, “Really, Now.”  Little did I know, that this little man would take Center Stage at Every Opportunity Provided in the Davis Household for the next 33 years - The Consumate Performer for Christ, Friends and Family.  Continue to lift your voice in Heaven Nephew....
