Jerry Thomas Walker Jr

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Nancy Walker; his sons, Jeremy Todd Walker of Austin, TX; Joshua Thomas Walker and wife Annie and children Sophia Corinne and Owen Thomas of Austin, TX; and Jerry Vaughan Walker of Austin, TX; sisters, Susan Templeton and husband Randy of Bastrop, TX; Brenda Sander, and husband Alan of Bastrop, TX; and sister Evelyn Hahn and husband Jamie of Austin, TX; nephews, Derek Templeton and his daughter of Dallas, TX; Elliott Templeton and wife Jen and their daughters of Denver, CO; Seth Templeton and wife Danielle and their sons of Gilbert, AZ; the late Brad Sander and wife Jamie and their sons and daughters of Fritch, TX; Bryan Sander of Craig, CO; Zachary Shewmaker and wife Lara and their daughter of Taylor, TX; nieces, Vanessa Lindsley and husband John of Bastrop and their son and daughter, TX; Stephanie Williams and husband Steve and their daughter and son of Liberty Hill, TX; Jordan Shewmaker of Austin, TX and Mackenzie Shewmaker of Austin, TX; and aunt Betty Walker Cluck and her children of Austin. TX.

Jerry, a native Austinite, attended McCallum High School and The University of Texas at Austin, where he played trumpet in The Longhorn Marching Band and UT jazz band. Jerry went on to earn a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and served the State of Texas for over 40 years. Jerry had a lifelong love of music, often traveling to hear his favorite musical styles including jazz, opera, and classical symphony. In his free time Jerry enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, road trips, camping, hiking, and playing with his grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Cluck Family Cemetery, 110 S Bell, Cedar Park, TX. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to:
