Jerry Nance Meredith, a fourth generation Austinite, was born on December 4, 1947 to Elisha John and Gladys Meredith passed away on April 7, 2016 in Austin. He was a true Texan and outdoorsman who lived most of his life in Austin and surrounding areas. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising cattle. He was a printer by trade, worked for the State of Texas and for private printing companies. Later in life he worked for Robert Madden Industries in Bastrop and Midland. He was a great baseball coach, and loved passing his knowledge along to anyone who showed interest. He was a giant fan of Texas A&M and spent his childhood summers in Bryan College Station.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Erin; son, Kyle and wife Cassie; grandchildren, Isaac, Evan, Adyn, Addison and Abigail; sister, Joyce.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with a Graveside Service to follow at 4:00 pm at Live Oak Cemetery, 12521 Twin Creek Road, Manchaca, Texas 78652.
