It was no secret that Jeremy felt his best accomplishment in life and what he was most proud of was his daughter, Jayla Rose, age 6, and the two shared such a special love for one another. Jeremy was employed by the Flores Family at Flores Mexican Restaurant for many years before moving on to Serrano’s, and most recently Hyde Park Bar & Grill. Best remembered for his bright blue eyes, goofy sense of humor, and generosity, Jeremy was a customer favorite, a friend to all, and a brother to many.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his dear Aunt Penny Gamble, beloved Grandmother Amy Roland, Grandfather Tony Mathern, and Aunt Cathy Dougherty.
Jeremy is survived by his daughter, Jayla Rose Gamble and her mother Jordan Pierce, his “Nanny” Corkie Mathern, parents James and Denise Gamble, sister Britney King and her husband Hunter, and their children Cameron, Peyton and Audrey King, nephews Kaleb and Jared Wayne and their father Kore Wayne, who was Jeremy’s best friend, along with best friends Lito Flores and Charles Clement and numerous uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Jeremy’s funeral service will be held at Manchaca Methodist Church at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday July 21, 2012. In celebration of Jeremy’s life, a reception for friends and family will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Flores Mexican Restaurant in Dripping Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account for his daughter’s college at Randolph Brooks Credit Union under “Jayla Gamble”.
