Herman Dale Lind "Bunt"

Herman Lind attended Austin High School and entered into the US Air Force on October 14, 1952. He served his country for 21 years and reached the rank of Sr. MSGT retiring on February 2, 1974. Bunt was also a farmer and worked in construction as an accomplished carpenter. He was a member of Decker Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Emily J. Lind and his children: Kenneth Lind (Donna), Douglas Lind (Leslie Escalante), and Bonnie Waite (Johnny). He was adored by his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His family includes numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 18th of October 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 19th of October 2013, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Oakwood Annex Cemetery in Austin, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
