Helen I. Graham, 94, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born in Mainz, Germany as an only child to the Lutz family on June 14, 1930. Helen married the love of her life, James R. Graham, on Christmas Eve 1955 in a beautiful wedding dress she sewed herself.
A longtime resident of Austin, Texas, Helen moved to Conroe, Texas to be closer to her nephew and his wife shortly after she became a widow.
Even though, Helen never had any children, she loved her nieces and nephews and their children as her own. We, her family, were very blessed to have such a loving Aunt and will always cherish that love forever.
When Helen wasn’t travelling, she was sewing, knitting, crocheting and working on her needlepoint. She was very creative and always found a new way to do things.
She is survived by her niece, Glenna Coudding and husband Nate, their children; Natrice Ables and husband Robert, their children; Jeffery Ables and wife Megan, Alesia Ables, Rosco Coudding and wife Teresa, their children; Isabel and Natheon, her nephew David and wife Monica and their children; Glenn Jeffery and wife Susie, their children; Garitt and Adyson, Ashley Rhodes and husband Clayton, Matthew Kahn and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for you to make a donation to the charity of your choice in honor of Helen.
A graveside service for Helen will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, December 27, 2024 Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
