Will, Papa, Dad, beloved brother, uncle, Nino, son, he loved working in his garden. He enjoyed planting different colorful flowers and mowing/tending his lawn. Woodworking was another hobby. He could build a table, jewelry stand or a carport. He could fix just about anything with the wide array of tools he owned. He also loved to cook and kept a recipe book of his favorite recipes. BBQ was a favorite but he could also cook a mean pot of potatoes and deviled ham.
Honorably discharged from the Army on July 1st, 1975, after he enlisted 7/28/1969. He obtained a Parachute Badge as well as a National Defense Service Medal.
He is survived by his mother Teresa Maria Ramirez, ex-wife Carol Smith, children Guillermo Ramirez & Cynthia Robinson, daughter-in-law Patricia Ramirez, son-in-law Charles Robinson, grandchildren Gabriella & Emilio Villegas, great-grandchildren Audrey & Wyatt Holland, sisters Guadalupe Banuelos, Mercedes Gil, Irasema Castro, Rosa Gutierrez, Emilia Cobos, Rosa Castro Arroyo, Patricia Castro, and Lorena Castro, brothers Pedro Castro, Leonard Ramirez, Juan Perciliano Ramirez, Estevan Ramirez, Ernesto Castro & Gerardo Castro. As well as many, many other family and friends.
We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in death. Family & friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration for Guillermo at Cherry Creek Catfish (5712 Manchaca Road Austin, TX 78745) at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ASPCA, Susan G Komen for the Cure or St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital.
