Glen Allen Altum of Austin, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at the age of 71. Glen was born on August 27th, 1951 in Austin, Texas, where he grew up. He graduated from Crockett High School in 1972. Glen worked as a Mechanic and in Auto Parts most of his life, in and around the Austin area. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and a lover of drag race cars.
Glen is preceded in death by his father, D.C. Altum of Austin, Texas, and his sister Sherry Lowden of Corpus Christi, Texas. Glen is survived by his mother, Dorothy LaNell Altum of Austin, Texas, brother Tommy Altum (Judy) of Salem, Oregon, brother Jimmy Altum (Frances) of Marble Falls, Texas, brother Kenneth Altum (Janet) of Harrison, Arkansas, and daughter, Leslee Morton (Eric) of Giddings, Texas. He is also survived by one grandson, several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses of St. David's South Austin Hospital, Debra Darity, Tracy Russell, Paula Holt, Marie Danel, and everyone else, for the care and compassion, they showed Glen in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Viewing Monday, May 15, 2023, 12:30 -2:00 PM, with the family before the graveside service, in the Chapel at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home, located at 6300 W William Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas. Interment to follow at the graveside located on the grounds of the Forest Oaks Memorial Cemetery, located at 6300 W William Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas. Services will be officiated by, Sheriff Jess Ramos of Lampasas, Texas
