Frank Edward Franks, 72, was born on September 13, 1950 in Austin, Texas and passed away on April 11, 2023 at his residence in Austin, Texas. Frank ("Scooter") was born to Quentin ("Q.S." "Pee Wee") Franks and Frances Maybell King Franks. He was the youngest of three sons.
Frank married Joan Evans Franks on May 7, 1976. Had he lived to May 7, 2023, they would have been married for 47 years. They had two daughters, Lisa Marjorie Franks and Lindsey Lauren Franks-Harris. Frank was a very proud grandfather to granddaughter, Hayley Harris and grandson, Brody Harris whom he called his "beautiful grandbabies".
He attended Pease Elementary, St. Edwards and Austin High School. While at Austin High School, he was an athlete in football and he received the honor of All-District. After graduating high school, Frank attended Blinn College on a football scholarship and received the honor of All-Conference. While attending Blinn College, he met his future wife. Other universities he attended were Texas A&I University in Kingsville and Texas State in San Marcos.
Soon after college he began owning several rental properties. In 1975, Frank and his brother Quentin "Bo" Franks started a business together. Franks Brothers Inc. was the next adventure. The most important adventure in his life was being a part of Willie Nelson and Family. This wonderful life was his greatest achievement and honor.
"We would like to give the greatest thanks from Scooter's family to Willie Nelson for being so amazing and loving for all of these many years. Bless you! We want you to know that Scooter loved you with all of his heart!"
