She graduated from Lubbock High School and then graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas where she enjoyed being a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Upon graduation, she moved to New Orleans where she served as a city guide driving a Mercedes bus. She loved her time there but came home to Texas where she worked in Big Bend National Park. After several years there, she headed to California and worked in a ski resort in Big Bear. Loving that area, she also worked as a guide on river rafting tours down the Colorado River where they would camp out at night on the river banks.
Health issues caused her to move back to Austin where she battled bouts of Multiple Sclerosis. She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and basketball. Her dogs then became an important part of her life and she cherished each and every one of them. Beth passed away peacefully in Austin, Texas on November 11, 2024.
Beth is pre-deceased by her father, William Carter Couch, her mother Elizabeth Stevens Couch and her brother, James Stevens Couch. She is survived by her older sister, Ann Couch Levitan and her niece, Peyton Levitan, who both reside in Naples, Florida.
