Elinor W. Punkin Pittman ELINOR W. PUNKIN PITTMAN , 81, OF AUSTIN DIED APRIL 9, 2005. AS GRACIOUS IN AGE AND INFIRMITY AS IN HER VIBRANT YEARS, SHE WAS A DEVOTED WIFE AND MOTHER TO HER LATE HUSBAND, H.C. PITTMAN, AND HER DAUGHTERS ANN PITTMAN HANNA AND NANCY PITTMAN. SHE CHERISHED HER GRANDSONS TRENT CONNALLY HANNA AND TODD PITTMAN HANNA, HIS WIFE MARI ALLAN AND HER GREAT-GRANDSON DILLON TODD HANNA. PUNKIN WAS A PI BETA PHI AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AND LATER HEADED THEIR ALUMNAE ADVISORY BOARD. SHE SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF AUSTIN, THE STATE OFFICIAL LADIES CLUB AND SCHOOL PTA ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, SHE SERVED SETON MEDICAL CENTER, THE MARCH OF DIMES, THE UNITED WAY, GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH , THE TRAVIS COUNTY JUVENILE HOME , AND THE SETTLEMENT CLUB OF AUSTIN. THROUGHOUT HER LIFE SHE EXHIBITED WARMTH, ELEGANCE, LOYALTY AND KINDNESS. SHE LOVED FRANK SINATRA AND TOMMY TUNE, THE LONGHORNS , MAH JONGG , HER GARDEN FLOWERS, AND ALL OF THE DOGS AT WOODSTONE SQUARE WHO CAME TO HER HOUSE FOR MILK BONES. HER FAMILY IS MOST GRATEFUL TO DR. ACE ALSUP AND THE MANY CARETAKERS WHO PROVIDED SUPPORT DURING THE PAST YEARS. FOLLOWING A PRIVATE BURIAL AT THE TEXAS STATE CEMETERY IN AUSTIN, SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 4:00PM ON MONDAY, APRIL 11, AT THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD , 2206 EXPOSITION BLVD.
