Dorothy was an original Austinite, who primarily resided in south Austin since 1956. She was the mother of ten children and was predeceased by her husband James Weldon Weaver, a son Russell Finley Weaver, three of her sisters and one of her brothers. Dorothy has been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since the late 1940’s and was faithful to Jehovah to her death. Her lifespan was almost a century. She lived through both world wars and The Great Depression along with many other major world events. In her lifetime she saw the chief fulfillment of the prophecy recorded in Matt. 24: 4-14. We know Dorothy is in Jehovah’s memory and we all have the hope of reuniting with her again on a paradise earth (John 5:28,29; Rev. 21:3,4; Ps 37:10,11). Some of her passions included quilting, gardening, taking care of her animals and her ministry work.
Survived by brother Curtis Finley and nine of her children Jimmy Williams, Dottie Hensley, Sherman Williams, Barbara Beltran, Ronnie Weaver, David Weaver, Dwight Weaver, Sherry Lucas and Debbie Weaver.
