Dorothy Lavelle McCullough, 96, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Elan Assisted Living Facility in Austin Texas. She was born March 21, 1921 in Concord Texas.
Dorothy and Lester were married on October 4, 1947 in Tyler. She worked for MHMR in Austin. She retired in 1981 after 29 years of service. Since retiring, she spent many hours serving Great Hills Baptist Church and enjoying camping, fishing, ball games and her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Dorothy will join Lester after a burial service Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Tyler Texas.
Dorothy is survived by their family: Judy and Ray; grandsons Royce and wife Jamie, Marshal and five great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Aspen, Ryan, David Lester, and Natalia.
In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Pine Springs Baptist Church or your charity of choice.
