Dorothy Ann Davis Bartlett, 94, died Feb.5, 2005. She was the daughter of Walter E. Davis, Travis Countys First Agriculture Extension Service Agent, and Anna S. Davis. She was born on July 8, 1910 in Cleburne, Texas. Except for the first 3 months of life, Dorothy lived in Austin, Texas. She married Jesse J. Bartlett, an Austin Attorney, on December 25, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mary Grace Davis Lancaster. Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a member of Austin Lawyers Wives, Alpha Delta Pi Mothers Club and Alpha Phi Mothers Club. She was a 70 years plus member of the First United Methodist Church in Austin as well as the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class. She leaves behind her two daughters and their families. Great-Grandchildren Dacia & Gavin Reichert of Austin, Bailey & Keely Reichert of Albuquerque, NM, Carter Smith of Carrollton, Texas, Jesse & David Barba of Atlanta, GA., and Sydney Grace Threadgill of Houston, Texas. The family wishes to thank New Hope Manor Nursing Home and Dr. Alejandro Marquis for their care of Mother these last few months. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Lance, Jay, Brian, Faust and Ben. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home with Reverend John McMullen officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive.
