She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years George “Andy” Anderson of Austin, TX.
Dorothy was a loving woman who was devoted to her family, her church and many, many close friends. She spent all of her adult life in Austin, TX and worked as the Office Manager at the National Guild of Piano Teachers for over 30 years. She was fortunate enough to be able to travel the world with her husband, Andy. She had a passion for life and enjoyed it to the fullest. A stranger to Dorothy was just a friend she had not met yet. She was also a philanthropist in the Austin area by giving large donations to her church, the local hospitals and nursing homes.
She has left behind many close family members, including a son, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She passed peacefully at her home for the past year in Floresville, TX.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel followed by burial at Austin Memorial Park.
