David W. Villegas 67, passed away November 30, 2013. He was born November 7, 1946 in Brady, Texas to Victor and Helen Villegas. After Graduating from Wm. B. Travis High School, Austin, Texas David attended college at Pan American University. He served in the Armed Services for four years and worked for Goodyear, various financial companies and most recently at Epicor Software Company.
David will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, daughter and his family. He had a Texas size love for football with the University of Texas Longhorns and for all sports competitions on television. He was famous for hosting barbques for his family and friends and we can't forget his love of Little Joe and Ruben Ramos music.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Marlise; brother, Richard; and dad, Victor Villegas.
David is survived by his wife, Diana Villegas; brothers, Hector, Steve (Tina), Dan (Dolores), Albert; sisters, Cindy, Julia (Dan), Kathy (Harris); his beloved sister-in-laws, Dolores (Joe), Dahlia, Dorothy (Edward); brother-in-laws, Orlando (Noelia), Don, Daniel (Hilda), David (Zonia) and numerous loving nephews, nieces and family members.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with Reverend Jim Martin, C.S.C. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
