Dave was always athletic and very involved in sports, playing football, baseball, and basketball growing up.
He attended Texas Lutheran College on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in Economics.
Dave worked in the Oil industry for several years, which included living in Indonesia for 18 months, which he enjoyed very much.
A few years later he married his first wife, Margie, and had a son, Christian.
Later in his life, he divorced and changed industries. He began working in High Tech for several large companies in the Austin area.
In 2000 he married his second wife, Stephanie. They had a very happy marriage of 22 years which included traveling, enjoying time with family and friends, and growing their respective careers.
Throughout his life Dave had many interests and hobbies including sports, martial arts (earning a black belt in Tukong Moosul), riding Harleys across the country, traveling all around the world, and cultivating a love of cooking and barbecuing.
He dearly loved the Texas Longhorns and Houston Astros, traveling to see many games in person.
Dave also loved being by the water, at the lake or at the beach, and enjoyed being in the mountains, especially camping/hiking/fishing in Wyoming with his family.
Dave was also a history buff, particularly interested in Texas history, and became very well read on the subject.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, his son, Chris, his father, David, three brothers, Greg, Jim, and Shawn, a sister, Samantha, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
