Clarence was born on January 26th, 1930 to his parents Clarence Decker Gregory Sr. and Theresa Spencer Gregory. He went on to graduate from Lewis Rutherford Morris Central High School on June 28th, 1949 before exploring a multitude of career paths, including farming, truck driving, and the National Park Service. A man of great faith, Clarence pursued his religious education as a seminary student and was ordained as a pastor.
Clarence dreamed of retiring and seeing the country in his RV so that he might enjoy our great land and wildlife. He enjoyed traveling, meeting new people, and seeing new places. In his free time, he loved to help his neighbors to fix up their places by serving as their handyman. He also enjoyed playing games with friends, building puzzles, and creating wooden art to decorate the yard.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents Clarence Decker Gregory Sr. and Theresa Spencer Gregory, his beloved wife Beverley Lugene Ward Gregory, his brother Seymour Gregory, and his sisters Joy Stephen and Dawn Gregory.
Clarence is survived by his children: Linda Susan Gregory of Carrolton, Kentucky, Timothy Andrew Gregory and wife Kathleen Olivia Myers Gregory of Highland Haven, Texas, Cynthia Ann Gregory and husband Dean Parker of Mesa, Arizona, and Randy Russel Gregory of California. Clarence is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support, both in-person and over the phone, to their extended family, their friends at Henly Baptist Church, and to the people at Hill Country Senior Center and Hospice.
