Christina “Crissy,CSong,Fifty” Mary Song passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, at St. David’s Hospital In Austin, Texas. Christina is survived by her husband "Waxee"; brothers, Nick, Robby and Danny; and her parents, Rolan and Bernadette.
Christina worked within investor relations at Ancient Art, Teton Capital. Her CEO kindly remarked, “Christina was a ray of sunshine in this office, always with a smile and a skip in her step. The World is worse off as the result of her loss. We will miss her greatly.”
Christina had a deep appreciation for people and had a knack for making anyone she came in contact with feel like a friend. More than anything, she was a shining ray of light and positivity who was doer, an adventurer and a world traveler. She loved the finer things… especially the three F's: fashion, fitness and food. She also had a deep affinity for language; especially the French language. Speaking French brought immense joy to her world.
Most of all, Christina loved her family. She met her love, Waxee on an international excursion (of course) and the two were married on a beautiful beach in the Rivera Maya, Mexico (of course) in 2014. Christina was ultra-proud of her three younger brothers and her parents. Christina’s legacy will be the way she lived, the way she reacted when dealt life’s highest highs and lowest lows and her endless energy and positivity.
She was a lucky human being, a strait up warrior with a kind and gentle soul who led a lucky existence, and we are forever grateful for having known and loved her. She drifted off this planet from Austin Texas where her joyous spirit was released from her worn out shell of a body and is exploring the universe. Everyone who remembers her is asked to celebrate Christina’s life in their own way, raising a glass of their favorite drink in her memory would be more than appropriate. We suspect Christina would hope that you will do an unsolicited act of kindness for some other poor unfortunate soul in her name.
May our beloved Christina rest in paradise.
Visitation 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 2620 South Congress with a Service to begin at 7:00 pm.
