Charles Hayden Pickle, a resident of Redwood City, California, was born in Austin he graduated from McCallum High School, Texas Southern, and earned a Masters of Education from Southern Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his father Hayden, mother Jo-Anne, and brother Scott. Chip leaves his partner of 22 years Jimmy Cartwright, sister Sue Pickle of Austin, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins in Ft. Worth and Austin.
Chip was a dedicated elementary school teacher for the Franklin-McKinley School District in San Jose, CA. for the last 17 years.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
