Carol J. Hirsch

Carol Hirsch, 84, passed away in March of 2015. She was born in Illinois to Reuben and Heddie and had one brother, Arthur. She joins the rest of her family with our loving Lord in Heaven. Carol was the loving mother of Wayne and Wendy (Mark). She was loved deeply by her grandchildren, Matt (Kelly), Brynn, and Eric (Jessica). She was the proud Great Grandma of McKenna and Harper. Our lives are a little emptier now but our hearts are overflowing with the love and memories she left with us.

Carol was a graduate of the National College of Education and spent a great deal of her life teaching young children in many different programs. Carol was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, and cherished her church family. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering, reading, playing bingo, watching her favorite TV shows, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sagebrook Health Center for their loving care these last years of Carol’s life, especially to the staff directly related to her care and quality of life. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00am at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 9700 Neenah Ave., Austin, TX. Memorial donations can be made in Carol’s name to Lutheran Social Services of the South (LSS), 8305 Cross Park Drive, Austin, TX 78754.
