Carlos was known by all as a very hard worker, he worked as a supervisor and heavy equipment operator for many years and was very proud of what he did. When not at work, Carlos loved sports, especially soccer. His soccer team was Cruz Azul and he was a very enthusiastic fan. He also was very involved with the Austex soccer league here in Austin as a coach. Though he loved soccer dearly, his sports enthusiasm extended to Dallas Cowboys football as well as Atlanta Braves baseball. He always had a game to watch.
Carlos was also a family man, he loved to spend time with his beloved wife, Josefina Lamas and their four children. He also loved to travel to Mexico City every chance he got.
Through his time coaching soccer, his work, and his membership at Dolores Catholic Church, Carlos had the opportunity to meet and befriend many people, and that was something he took full advantage of. He was known as a very outgoing and funny man who never met a stranger. Those who had the good luck to know him will miss him greatly.
