Calvin C. Benson, 92 of Austin, Texas, passed away January 13, 2017. He was born in Huntsville, AL on November 4, 1924 to Charles and Mary Benson.
Calvin graduated from Rison High School in Huntsville, AL and he married Margaret L. Benson on March 22, 1947. Calvin worked for the City of Austin Central Stores. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and he had a passion for family, fishing, camping and reading.
He is survived by his sons: Jerry, Guy, and Darrell Benson; his grandchildren: Megan Benson, Melissa Eaton, Robert Benson, Heather Edwards and Travis Benson and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, on January 17, 2017 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.
