Benito Gallegos Juarez “Benny” longtime resident of Austin, Texas passed peacefully on September 26, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Benny was born December 10, 1935 in Campbellton, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife Josephine P. Juarez, parents, Domingo and Manuela Juarez Sr.; siblings Bertha Mitchell, Domingo Juarez, Jr., Elena Sanchez, Leonor Soto, Mary Samaniego, Victoria Juarez and Virginia Carmona. He is survived by his siblings, Ester Ramirez, Alberto Juarez (Polly), brother in law Paul Samaniego, step son Robert Cervantes and numerous nieces, nephews. Benny served his country in the United States Army and worked as tile setter and his favorite pastimes included, hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Weed -Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave., beginning at 4pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E 9th Street on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 9:30am. Services will conclude after the Mass.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Daniel Ramirez, David Samaniego, Daniel Saucedo, Lawrence Ramirez. Michael Carmona, John Albert Juarez and honorary pallbearer Louis Mitchell (Louie).
