Barbara Lynn Reeves

Barbara Lynn (Rucker) Reeves of Austin, TX passed away leaving her loving family and many wonderful friends on Saturday May 1, 2021. She was born in Atlanta, GA on August 23, 1948. Barbara retired from the Attorney General’s office in Production Control. Barbara was preceded in death by her companion of 42 years, Henry “Hank” Atkinson, father I.G. Rucker and mother Iris Larsen.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Kathleen Rowland-Stemper, niece Carrie Schaefer and husband Jason, nephew Shawn Rowland and wife Amber, great nieces and nephews Christian, Caylyn, Charity, and Caleb Schaefer and Dalton Rowland.

Barbara loved life, Hank, her family and friends. Barbara and Hank were members of the River City Travelers RV club making friends and traveling. They also traveled in their RV without the club from Alaska to Nova Scotia and points in between.

Barbara was a host with 10 girls that sponsored 9 years of a friends meeting friends party. The parties started out with 25 people and ended at Fiesta Gardens with 150 guests. Barbara and Hank enjoyed attending costume parties.

Barbara and Hank’s favorite restaurant was the Crab Claw in St. Michaels, Maryland. Barbara loved reading murder mysteries and passing her time coloring.

They were both loved and will be missed.
