Anne was born June 22, 1944 in Houston, Texas. She attended Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina and the University of Texas at Austin where she met her husband, Homer Garrison III (Trey). Anne and Trey were married in Wichita Falls and had two children, Tiffany Anne Garrison Parker and Charles Monroe Garrison.
Anne always gave herself to help others. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served the church in many ways. She served as a volunteer for the Junior Helping Hand, the Women’s Symphony League, the Seton Development Board and as a board member for the Center for Battered Women. Anne distinguished herself as an officer in the Junior league of Austin where she spent much of her time.
Anne was a wonderful wife and mother. She always put her family first and enjoyed doing anything the family was involved in, never missing a family program or activity.
Anne is survived by her husband, Homer Garrison III, her daughter Tiffany Garrison Parker and husband Eugene Richard Parker, Jr. of Temple, Texas, her son, Charles Monroe Garrison and wife Whitney Priddy Garrison of Austin, Texas, and her grandchildren, Eugene Richard Parker III of Fort Worth, Texas, Thomas Monroe Garrison, Charles Shaw Garrison, Harrison (7) and Palmer (4) of Austin, Texas.
A celebration of Anne’s life will take place on Wednesday, December 7th at 2:00pm at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home 5416 Parkcrest Dr. Austin.
