Angelita Leija

Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend has passed peacefully to her final resting place on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. She was born on August 2, 1946, in Austin, Texas. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” Timothy 2:4-7 Angelita was preceded in death by her parents Herlinda (Sepeda) and Brigido Lopez; brother, Brigido Lopez, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Leija (Elias), Cindy Eleby (Kevin); sons, Edward Moreno, Jr. (Tasha), Mario Moreno (Crystal) and Matthew Moreno (adopted grandson); 24 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred Ivanez, Jesse Benavides. For 27 years, Angie was employed as a Dietary Supervisor at Brackenridge (Seton) Hospital. Our thoughts are rich with memories as she will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts. We would like to express our gratitude to Hospice of Austin for all the love, care and support. Also, we are humbly grateful to her family and friends who comforted mom on her journey. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Jacob Dominguez, David Pesina, Michael Macias; nephews, Danny Benavides, Jimmy Lopez, Jesse Benavides, Jr. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Sunday, July 15, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 16 at Tempo Sinai Assembly of God, Montopolis Drive. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
