Amy Elaine Earthman Cardwell, 47, was born on April 3, 1968 in Houston, Texas and died October 16, 2015 in Austin, Texas. Amy was an incredibly loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many. She was filled with life, energy and laughter, and had a great quality of making others feel special. Her greatest pride and joy were her two daughters, Margaret Deane Cardwell and Lee Madison Cardwell. Nothing and no one made Amy happier or more proud than Margaret and Lee.
Amy loved the joys of life – to be with her girls, laugh, read a good book, spend time with family and friends, have fun, tell funny stories, and walk her beloved dog, Marcus. She faced adversity with great resolve and courage, and will forever be remembered for her tremendous heart, generous spirit and loving nature.
Amy is survived by her daughters, Margaret and Lee Cardwell; Friend and confidant, John Cardwell; Parents: Sonja Earthman Novo and Charles Novo, Bob and Sandy Earthman; Siblings: Mary Earthman Littman and Michael Littman, Bobby and Elena Earthman, Lannie Earthman Bluethmann and Bill Bluethmann, David and Alena Earthman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00pm at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 3201 Windsor Road in Austin, with a reception to follow at the Tarry House, 3006 Bowman Avenue. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at 9:00am at All Saints Church, 215 E. 10th Street in Houston. Graveside services will follow at 11:00am at Forest Park Lawndale.
Amy reaffirmed every day her deep hope and desire to be the most loving and caring person possible. Amy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
