Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Amalia (Mollie) Mendoza, peacefully passed away in her home on Monday, October 7, 2024.
Mollie was born March 11, 1942, and raised in Lockhart. Mollie was so loved by many throughout Lockhart.
She loved spending time with family and friends. Mollie enjoyed being outside tending to her flowers and plants, listening to and singing along to her favorite music. She loved and cared for many and always wore a beautiful smile. Mollie was very strong-willed, building two homes for herself and her children. She was very proud of her girls and the strength instilled in them.
Mollie is survived by her seven children; Samuel Campos, Guillermo Campos, Regina Ygnacio, Emmanuel (Norma) Campos, Javier (Jennifer) Campos, Ariana Ruiz, Joaquin Mendoza; grandchildren; Korynne Campos (Cameron Watkins), Aiden Manuel Campos (Angela Muniz), Jacob Campos, Christopher (Lupe) Ygnacio, Markus (Vanessa) Ygnacio, Monique Ygnacio, Ezekiel Sanchez, Connor Campos, Abby (Jarrett) Sebastian, Grace Campos, Ethan Campos, Isla Ruiz, Sarah Ruiz, Reina Ruiz, Cristian Ruiz, Emmarie Mendoza (Albert Medellin), Juan Joaquin Mendoza, Aliana Mendoza, Jace Mendoza and
10 great grandchildren; Josie Mae Watkins, Aiden Miguel Campos, Jacob Campos, Jacqueline Ygnacio, Gabriella Ygnacio, Lil Markus Ygnacio, Trinity Ygnacio, Giselle Rendon, Gianna Rendon, Keegan Sebastian, Kynadee Sebastian, Krew Sebastian, Juan Albert Medellin and Isabella Medellin, and five siblings; Mike (Ruth) Gonzales, Frank Gonzales, Sylvia (Martin) Herron, David (Patti) Gonzales and Dora Rivera (Margaret).
Mollie is preceded in death by her grandson, Evan Campos.
The family would like to acknowledge Mollie’s neighbors, Mark, his wife, Lisa and mother, Mary, Remsy and Al and her mailman, Daniel Yanez. A special thank you to Robert Rodriguez for preparing delicious meals for mom as well. Their presence with mom is appreciated and mom loved seeing them.They always brought a smile to her day.
There will be a gathering for lunch following the Celebration at Kreuz Market. Family and friends are invited to come share stories and memories. Please understand that each guest will be responsible for his/her meal and beverage.
