Albert Rios

Albert Rios, age 58, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Tuesday, September 1, 1953. Albert married Gloria Gatica in 1973. He was employed with Tarry Town Texaco for 28 years and loved his mechanic career.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Rios; bio parents, Bertha Trevino, Armando Cruz; sister, Mary Sue Trevino; daughter, Evelyn Michelle Rios; son, John Albert Rios; brother, Edward Rios; sister, Andrea Moreno.

Albert is survived by his wife, Gloria Rios; daughter, Laura Ledesma (Frank); son, Armando Rios (Deanna); eight grandchildren; brothers, James Rios (Thelma), Ronald Trevino (Terri), Adolph Trevino (Paula), Bobby Trevino, Monroe Trevino, Rogasiano Trevino (Ruth), Anthony Trevino, C.S. Rios Jr. (Mary Jo), Zeke Rios (Blaza), Rudy Rios; sisters, Carmen Ramirez (Edward), Lucia Rios (Robert); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Austin for all their help and support.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Gatica Sr., Joe Gatica, Arthur Gatica Sr., Anthony Trevino, Rogasiano Trevino, and James Rios. Honorary pallbearers will be Armando Merced Rios, Frank Ledesma, Monroe Trevino, Robert Trevino, Ronald Trevino, Adolph Trevino, R. J. Trevino and Frank Gatica.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at St. Julia Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
