I will always treasure my memories of Pat Koller. She was unfailingly kind and supportive of me. From my first arrival at AHS, she took me under her wing. She taught me so much. What a professional she was! Her courses were masterfully crafted, and her students received absolute excellence in instruction. Always approachable, ever with a welcoming smile, I was honoured to have her as a mentor, a colleague, and a friend. Kind, conscientious, personable, intelligent, with a great sense of humour, I cannot list all her praiseworthy qualities or appreciate her enough. Pat changed my life for the better.

Pat was such an incredible mentor and inspiration to me as a young teacher. She was my first department head and welcomed me to the English department at Aurora High School, despite the fact that I had a lot to learn! She demonstrated passion for teaching English and modelled care and compassion for students.

My most sincere condolences to the family.  Pat was my colleague when I started at AHS.  Although I never worked in the English department that she led,  I did have the privilege to share her workroom.  I was always impressed with how she gracefully balanced professionalism and sensitivity to the staff she led. I remember how proud she was, that in her whole career as a teacher, she had not missed a single day of work. A true professional. When she retired, it wasn't goodbye. Pat would visit the school as a supply teacher. I will miss her dearly.

She was one of my teachers at AHS. All these years later; it is her smile and her laugh that I remember. I’m sure her family knows that many of her past students have such wonderful memories of her.

Pat's death comes as a shock, and so my deep condolences to Herb, her life partner and best friend, who must be quite bereft. 
Pat was a  very dedicated teacher. As department head, she often had to corral some lively egos. Her humour was sometimes delightfully audacious. She was a good mentor, a good colleague, a very generous host.
I miss her.

Our most  sincere condolences. Shocking and so sad. I knew Pat from our exercises classes at the Senior Center. She so lovely  happy, and vibrant! She was also  an amazing English teacher at Aurora High, and we had the honour of her being one of my son's teachers.
