It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing at Southlake Regional Health Centre peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday May 4th, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Duncan, much loved mother of Ian, Glenn (Nicole), and Brian (Miyuki). Loving grandmother of Emma, Connor and Emmitt. Maureen will be greatly missed and held dear in the hearts of her brother Bert (Lynda) and sister-in-law Jean, Nephew, her Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in Scotland and her friends. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, on Thursday May 8th, from 6pm-8pm and on Friday May 9th, from 12pm-1pm. A funeral service will be held on May 9th at 1pm in the funeral home Chapel. Interment to follow at the Aurora Cemetery. Donations in Maureen's memory should be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
