Hello Jennifer and family...We were so sorry and shocked to hear the sad news about Laurie.  I'm so glad I got to see him and yourself and Tiffany last fall at Steve and Janice's place. I hadn't seen Laurie in awhile but he was still the same - laughing and joking - so much fun to see him and brother Steve carrying on as they always did. It was a fun get together. My neighbour, my friend, second father to my daughter, champion of our community - there are so many ways to describe Laurie, but what always stood out was that he was original, authentic, and real, making it so easy to love him.

By the way Laurie, the answer from now on to your never-ending question, "What are you wearing?" will be, "I am wearing a smile as I think about all the times we spent together: the happy times, the laughing times, the bright sunny days!

Laurie was one of the kindest, funniest and most generous men I've known and I will dearly miss him.  Laurie was an ardent family man who would go to every extent possible to ensure he was in place for support of his wife and children at their significant moments and achievements.  Laurie was a champion of his community, always leading the charge to bring together neighbours in fun filled activities that engaged all ages.  He was extremely proud of his family and friends, trumpeting their virtues to anyone who would listen. (or even if they didn't want to listen) 
Sadly we're going to have to add another entry into Laurie's "book of things that aren't going to happen." - growing old together.

Rest comfortably my friend, until we meet again.

OMG, a terrible loss! Laurie brought such an infectious laugh and good cheer to everywhere we saw him. Our neighbourhood is so close and Laurie made it closer, more fun and friendly.

I really do not have sufficient words to convey how shocked and saddened I was to hear about Laurie's passing. Laurie was liked by everyone here at Stanley Security and is already very missed. He was a good man and a hard worker. I am so very sorry for the loss felt by all those that were closest to him.
