Passed away on April 12, 2019 in Oakville, Ontario at the age of 49.
James was born at Humber Memorial Hospital on November 15, 1969.
He was raised in Etobicoke, then Mansfield during his teens.
He attended Mulmer Mono public school, then CDDHS in Shelburne.
James was a unique, brilliant and sensitive man.
He possessed an extraordinary wit and hilariously descriptive storytelling abilities.
He prided himself on being honest, and despite his meager income, was generous to a fault.
He was a gifted poet (firstly inspired by William Blake) despite having a dyslexia.
He wrote hundreds of poems and a novel of short stories. He sometimes sold them on the street, dreaming of someday being published.
Unfortunately his demons extinguished that dream.
Our wish is this tragedy will encourage more dialogue and help end the stigma about mental illness.
Goodbye James.
James will be sadly missed by his mother Beryl.
Siblings Jenni, Jetsun (wife Heather) & Jeremy (wife Lisa)
Nieces Lyndsy & Aneliese
Nephews Sam, Douglas, John & Jack.
And all of his many lifelong friends.
A memorial gathering for James will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8. A cremation will occur at Forest Lawn Crematorium, Toronto, Ontario.
