Haddan Margaret Anna Eby

Suddenly on May 28, 2010 surrounded by her family and friends, Haddie lost her 6 year battle with cancer. Cherished daughter of Kim Plato and David Eby. She will be forever missed by her brother Carter and sister Harper. Darling granddaughter of Barb and the late Sam Plato, and Patricia and Michael Eby. Adored niece of Natalie Plato and Robert Eno, Mara Eby and Tim Cooper, and Geoffrey and Carol Eby. Accomodating cousin of Nolan and Brennan Eno, and Charlotte Cooper. Haddie had a love for all things little and was a true champion of the underdog. She was feisty, yet gentle and calm, with a huge capacity for love of art, animals, the cottage, the beach, Camp Oochigeas, her family, and her friends. Her unbelievable bravery has been an inspiration to all. Our deepest thanks to Dr. Eric Bouffet, Dr. Ute Bartels, Dr. Abhaya Kulkarni, Dr. Norman Laperrier, and also the many special nurses and support people along the way for their extraordinary care these past 6 years. A special thank you to our friends and family who have taken the journey with us. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Pkwy. S. (north east corner of Yonge St. & Industrial Pkwy. S.), Aurora, on Wednesday from 5-8pm. A celebration of Haddie’s life will be held at Aurora United Church, 15186 Yonge St. (just south of Wellington St.), Aurora, on Thursday at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Meagan’s Walk (www.meaganswalk.com) or Camp Oochigeas (www.ooch.org) would be appreciated. To honour Haddie’s spirit please leave your funeral clothes at home…pink preferred.
