She was preceded in death by her brother John D. Lembke (Danny), and her mother Marie T. Lembke along with many close aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Theresa was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Larry D. Lembke and Marie T. Lembke (Gallagher) on August 1, 1959 and later moved to Aurora where she spent the rest of her life. It was in Aurora where she met her husband Dirk Chandler and soon after gave birth to their daughter Jessica J. Chandler. Jessica was her pride and joy and the love of her life.
Theresa was an amazing cook and was known for her famous green chili. It was many peoples favorite, no matter how spicy it was or how many onions she put in it. She was an avid gardener and was motivated to bring beauty to the world through her incredible horticultural skills. She could be found outside on any warm day covered in dirt with sweat in her eye and a smile on her face. The only thing that brought her more joy than “playing in the dirt” would be her love for the Denver Broncos. A love she inherited from her mother, brought her some of the greatest pleasure of her life. To know Theresa was to know the Broncos. It did not matter if they won, lost, rain, snow or shine, she was their number one fan only second to Marie.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica J. Chandler, her father Larry D. Lembke, her brother Max J. Lembke, her nephews Drew, Jordan and Cameron, Dirk Chandler, and many incredible family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held in Theresa’s honor on December 5, 2014 at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel, 1095 Havana St. Aurora, CO. Father Martin Hunckler will officiate.
