Betty Joan Owens

Betty Joan Owens, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado. Betty was a life long Colorado native, being born September 21, 1939 in Akron, Colorado. She passed away at the age of 82.

Betty is preceded in deatj by her husband, The Late Dean Owens. Her memory will be cherished by those who survive her, including her daughter Toyea Reed (Jerry) of Deer Trail, CO; her son Kenny Owens (Traci) of Deer Trail, CO; her grandchildren, Heather Brawn (Rick) of Loxahatchee Fl, Kalvin Reed (Candice) of Deer Trail, CO, Jennifer Kunkel (Darren) of Deer Trail, CO, Kacy Martinez (Rigo) of Denver, CO, Matt Owens (Kelsey) of Champion, NE, Kendra Gilbert (Jon) of Fort Morgan, CO, and Kayla Mangino (Chris) of Denver, CO. Betty is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.

Betty will be remembered for her love of being a mom and grandmother, her love of camping, singing, and playing the guitar with her family and friends. She also loved painting, bowling, breaking horses, fishing, and playing cards. She was a member of the DeerTrail VFW Auxillary group.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 in Deer Trail at the Baptist Church at 2:30PM. Betty will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Cornell Cemetery in Trenton, Nebraska at 11am.
