Mrs. Vivian C. Ogle, of Hephzibah, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her home. She was a graduate of North Augusta High School Class of 1942 and retired after 30 years at Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was a sweet, gentle and loving sister, mother and Granny who will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Ogle was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Ogle; two sons, Claude “Buddy” Ogle and Henry Ogle; infant daughter, Dorothy Ogle; and her grandson, Hank Mitchell Ogle. Granny is survived by her children, Janie (Hugh) Hitchcock, Barbara (Vic) Herrin, Patricia Horsford and Michael (Tina) Ogle; her loving and devoted sister, Marjorie Hollows; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Monday, December 9, 2013 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Granny was lovingly cared for by her family, especially her dedicated grandson Taylor. Her memory will be cherished forever.
