Gloria Bates

Gloria graduated from Augusta Richmond Academy in 1963. Afterwards, attending Bolens Business University earning a Business Administration degree. Gloria went on to become a bookkeeper for several companies before retiring from J.C Stockton & Sons in 2019.

Gloria enjoyed reading, especially her well-loved, highlighted, and notated Bible. She was an avid walker and could daily be found “getting her steps in “enjoying the beautiful outdoor scenery of her Wymberly Community.

She and her husband were faithful members of Belair Church in Grovetown Ga.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bobby Bates; her daughter Darlene (Karl) Staulcup and their children Kayla (Ricky) Timbers, Garrett (Brittany) Fogg, Kyle (Brittany) Staulcup and Taylor (Sasha) Staulcup. Her great grandchildren Ollie and Aiden Timbers, Gabe Fogg, Crue, Hannah and Karis Staulcup; her son Manning (Barbara) Bowie; her daughter Stephanie (John) Goodman and their children Tristin, Alessia and Zxander Goodman. Her great granddaughter Hailey Goodman. We can’t forget her beloved fur babies, Callie and Tabby, who will be forever lost without their momma.

She was preceded in Death by her parents, Oscar & Remie Richardson, her brother, and sister-in-law Oscar Jr. & Barbara Richardson.

Visitation with be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service following at 2:00 p.m. Belair Church, 599 S Old Belair Rd, Grovetown, Georgia 30813.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Belair Church.
